Due to continued growth within the business, Baillieston Community Care were looking to partner with a local training provider to provide their growing staff with good quality training to ensure a high standard of staff professionalism was met.

Operations Director David Reilly explains.

"Our blended learning approach for Baillieston Community Care incorporates access to our eLearning courses as well as delivery of face to face courses by a highly experienced nurse trainer."

Account Management was of key importance, ensuring a smooth transition to the blended learning programme.

Providing Baillieston with access to an Education Specialist throughout the year ensured that our face to face courses that were delivered were specific to the staff members within the company and met their practice needs as well as the needs of the service users.

Initially we rolled out access to our large collection of eLearning courses to our staff, providing guidance on which courses were to be completed as a priority.
Once the majority of staff had completed a high proportion of the online courses, delivery of face to face courses began. This method allowed for personalised instruction time and the opportunity to reinforce learning achieved through online instruction. The approach proved successful.

The flexibly of the e-learning in particular has allowed our staff to have more control over their own training and personal development and we have found an increase in the volume of staff completing these courses in their own time without us having to fully manage their training attendance
